Loose black lines map out the face, then short colored marks fill in the hair, skin, and hands. The surface stays open, with the yellow ground showing through around the head and at the edges of the marks. Small scuffs and layered strokes sit over the features, so the face has a worked, restless edge. A few green and red dots break across the surface near the top and sides.
