THE JUGGERNAUT
--
A stark black-and-white ink drawing of a massive clenched fist or fist-like form rising from the bottom of the page, built from dense layers of pattern, crosshatching, and bold contour lines. The hand feels heavy and compact, almost carved out of pressure, with the fingers curled inward so tightly they read more like a closed shape than an open gesture. Around it, a few small fragments and specks drift outward, which gives the image a sense of tension and motion even though the subject itself is locked in place.
The composition is simple but forceful: a bright white background, a dark vertical block behind the upper portion, and the central form dominating the space. The contrast makes the hand feel monumental, like a symbol of strain, resistance, or contained energy. Because the texture is so busy and layered, the image suggests something mentally loaded as well as physically strong — as if the form is carrying memory, pressure, or noise inside its surface.
Emotionally, it lands between grit and compression. Conceptually, it could read as a study of power, endurance, or the weight of holding things together.
